Orange, Vermont

We Remember Thee

This small cemetery is in the Town of Orange, Vermont on Route 302.  It is full of tokens of remembrance and photographs of loved ones eternally engraved into their headstones. Though the size of the cemetery is relatively small, exploring it is worth the stop.

Devin Swift's grave.  I was touched to see the engraved emblems signifying that his unfortunate demise, was indeed a gift that kept on giving.   Also note the clever "Ticket to Heaven".  This family most certainly celebrated his life, not his death.

Isn't it amazing that someone's photograph can now be embedded in stone?  You won't forget what they looked like!  I love this creative concept and loving remembrance.
